YOUR JOURNEY

Four simple steps

From invitation to results — here's how the process works.

STEP 01

Receive Invite

You'll get an email with a unique assessment link. Click it, sign in with your email, and you're ready to go.

STEP 02

Start Assessment

Enter fullscreen mode, allow camera and microphone if prompted, and begin your first test.

STEP 03

Complete Tests

Work through each test at your own pace. Your progress is saved between tests automatically.

STEP 04

Get Results

Your responses are scored by AI using structured rubrics. Results go to the organisation that invited you.

TEST TYPES

What each test feels like

Your assessment may include one or more of these test types. Here's what to expect from each.

Case Study

You'll receive a real-world business scenario and work with an AI assistant to develop your solution. Think out loud — how you frame the problem and explore options matters as much as your final answer.

TIPS
Read the scenario carefully before diving in
Use the AI assistant as a thinking partner
Show your reasoning, not just conclusions
You have a limited number of prompts with a character limit per message, so make each one count

Situational Judgement (SJT)

You'll see a set of workplace items, like an inbox of emails or tasks, and decide which to prioritise. For each item you select, you'll make follow-up decisions about how to handle it.

TIPS
Consider what you'd actually do, not the 'ideal' answer
Think about the impact on colleagues and outcomes
Trust your instincts — these measure judgement, not knowledge

Multiple Choice (MCQ)

Straightforward knowledge questions about your domain. Each question has one correct answer. These test what you know, not how you think.

TIPS
Read all options before selecting your answer
Manage your time — don't get stuck on one question
If unsure, eliminate obviously wrong answers first

AI Voice Interview

A conversational interview with Kaaira, our AI interviewer. Speak naturally — Kaaira asks follow-up questions based on your responses, just like a real interview.

TIPS
Find a quiet space with good lighting
Test your microphone and speaker before starting
Speak clearly and take a moment to think before answering
AI VOICE INTERVIEW

Meet Kaaira, your AI interviewer

If your assessment includes an AI voice interview, you'll have a real-time conversation with Kaaira — our AI interviewer designed to bring out your best.

Natural conversation

Kaaira listens to your responses and asks thoughtful follow-up questions — just like a real interviewer. Speak naturally and take your time.

Competency-based

Questions are designed around specific competencies relevant to the role. You won't see which competencies are being assessed — just answer authentically.

Fair and consistent

Every candidate gets the same structured format and scoring rubric. Your responses are evaluated on evidence from what you actually said — no bias from appearance or background.

Before your AI interview

  • Find a quiet room with minimal background noise
  • Use headphones or earbuds for best audio quality
  • Test your microphone and speakers when prompted
  • Have a glass of water nearby — interviews typically last 10–20 minutes
  • Your camera will be on by default but video is only used for proctoring, not scoring

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Kaairo assessment take?

Most assessments take between 20 and 60 minutes depending on the number and type of tests included. Your invitation email will include the estimated duration. You can see your progress as you move through each test.

Can I retake the assessment?

Each assessment allows one attempt. Once you submit or your test auto-submits, the result is final. If you’re re-invited to the same assessment, the system will recognise your earlier completion. Contact the hiring team if you have concerns.

What happens if my internet drops during the test?

Your progress is saved between test sections. If you lose connection between tests, return to your assessment link to continue from the next section. If you disconnect during a test, that section will be submitted with your responses up to that point and cannot be restarted.

Is my camera recorded during the assessment?

Camera monitoring is used for proctoring purposes only when enabled by the organisation. No video recordings are stored — only behavioural flags like look-away counts are captured. You'll be informed before the assessment if camera proctoring is active.

Who sees my assessment results?

Your results are shared with the organisation that invited you — typically the hiring team or HR department. Individual scores, dimension breakdowns, and proctoring flags are visible to authorised reviewers. Kaairo does not share your results with anyone else.

Is the platform accessible for candidates with disabilities?

Kaairo includes keyboard-navigable controls and ARIA labels on interactive elements. If you need specific accommodations, contact the organisation that invited you before starting.
