Business Development Manager - Solution Sales (Tally Ecosystem)
About the Role
At Oogw.ai we're reimagining corporate finance operations. Our flagship product, Prism Books, is a Finance Intelligence and AP Automation platform built around a company's existing Tally setup, with no plugin and no upgrade required. Tally is India's accounting source of truth, but founders, CFOs and controllers keep hitting a wall on multi-company consolidation, plain-English data querying and automated accounts payable. Prism Books solves this with WhatsApp-to-Tally invoice processing (OCR), management-grade custom reporting, and a conversational "Ask the Books" AI layer.
We're expanding our core sales team and looking for a high-performing Solution-Sales BDM who already understands the Tally ecosystem, has relationships with finance leaders, and wants to move up from selling legacy software to high-ticket B2B SaaS. Because the platform needs zero change to the accountant's workflow, your sales friction is low, your deal sizes are larger and your cycles are shorter.
Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise pipeline: Target, pitch and close mid-to-large corporate accounts, group companies and multi-location businesses that run their accounting on Tally.
- Pitch consultatively to CFOs: Lead demos with Founders, CFOs, Financial Controllers and Heads of Finance, speaking their language (P&L tracking, multi-company consolidation, MIS gap analysis, AP-cycle reduction).
- Leverage the ecosystem: Tap your existing network of Tally users, decision-makers and reference partners to generate qualified inbound and outbound opportunities.
- Demonstrate the product: Show how the automated WhatsApp AP channel reads vendor invoices via OCR and posts balanced purchase vouchers straight into Tally in under a minute.
- Manage short cycles: Guide prospects from a 45-minute sample-dataset demo to contract sign-off and kickoff.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of B2B software sales or account management, ideally within a 5-Star Certified Tally Partner network, Tally integrator or direct Tally distributor.
- Deep understanding of how corporates use Tally Prime, Tally Server (TPS), Cost Centres and multi-company setups, plus the real-world limits of Tally reporting and Excel dependencies.
- A proven track record selling to senior leadership (CFOs, Finance Heads, Promoters), not just data-entry or junior IT teams.
- Excellent communication, sharp pipeline management and a plain-spoken, consultative approach to closing.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Tally-on-Cloud, or experience selling automated OCR / document-management platforms.
