Screen for the job, not for English fluency

Your store, field-sales and support hires across Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruppur will work in Tamil all day. Kaairo runs written assessments fully in Tamil — native script or Roman — while your team authors and reviews everything in English.

What runs in Tamil today

Case studies

Multi-part business scenarios the candidate reads and reasons through entirely in Tamil — the closest thing to watching them handle a real customer or branch situation.

Situational judgement tests

Job-realistic dilemmas — an unhappy customer, a collections call, a floor-staffing decision — with responses judged in the language the candidate actually thinks in.

Multiple choice questions

Knowledge and aptitude MCQs rendered in Tamil script or Roman Tamil, so a right answer never depends on first decoding an English question.

A Tamil interface throughout

Instructions, navigation and prompts render in Tamil too. Candidates are not dropped into an English shell wrapped around a translated question.

WHY ASSESS IN TAMIL

The talent is already there — your test can't see it

An English-only screen quietly removes the people who would be your strongest performers on the ground in Tamil Nadu.

01

Measure selling, not English

A field-sales candidate in Madurai who can close confidently in Tamil may stumble through an English case study. Test the skill the job actually uses.

02

Roman Tamil for phone typists

Plenty of strong candidates read Tamil comfortably but type it in English letters. The Roman option meets them exactly where their thumbs already are.

03

No translation project

Author once in English. AI translation generates both Tamil renditions automatically — no vendor to brief, no glossary to maintain, no bilingual reviewer to hire.

04

English on your side of the glass

Every score, per-competency rationale and report arrives in English, so hiring managers and clients read results without knowing a word of Tamil.

05

Fair to mixed answers

Candidates answer in Tamil, English or a blend, switching mid-sentence if that's how the thought comes. The mix itself never changes a score.

06

The right register per role

Choose formal Tamil for BFSI and supervisory assessments, or a conversational register for store and field roles — your call, made once per assessment.

HOW IT WORKS

English in, Tamil out, English back

Three steps between the assessment you have and the Tamil-speaking talent you're missing.

STEP 01

Write the assessment in English

Draft the case study, SJT or MCQ in English — say, a floor-supervisor SJT for the store crew you're hiring in Coimbatore — exactly the way your team writes assessments today.

STEP 02

Enable Tamil

Kaairo's AI translation produces the native-script and Roman Tamil versions plus the Tamil interface. Pick the register: formal for a BFSI counter, conversational for the shop floor.

STEP 03

Read the results in English

Your Coimbatore candidates choose Tamil when they start and answer in Tamil, English or a mix. You get 0-100 competency scores, rationales and reports in English.

WHAT YOU CAN RELY ON

Serious assessment machinery under the Tamil

The language changes; the rigor doesn't.

Competency scoring, 0-100

Every candidate is scored 0-100 per competency with a written rationale, on the same rubric whether the answer arrived in Tamil, English or both.

AI proctoring available

Run Tamil assessments remotely across Tamil Nadu with AI proctoring watching for integrity issues, so distance doesn't mean doubt.

Hiring and L&D on one platform

The same Tamil assessment engine works for evaluating and developing your existing store and field teams, not just for hiring new ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which assessment formats can we run in Tamil?

Case studies, SJTs and MCQs — all three of Kaairo's written formats — run fully in Tamil, for every organisation on the platform. There's no language add-on or higher tier to unlock, and the candidate-facing interface renders in Tamil along with the questions.

Our candidates type in 'Tanglish' — Tamil in English letters. Does that work?

That's exactly what the Roman Tamil option is. A candidate who reads and types Tamil in English letters — the way a lot of everyday phone typing already happens — can take the entire assessment that way. They pick native script or Roman when they begin, and both renditions are generated automatically from your English original.

What if an answer drifts between Tamil and English?

Let it drift. An answer is scored on the quality of the thinking in it, not on how purely Tamil it stayed — a candidate who reasons in Tamil and borrows English for 'stock register' or 'refund' loses nothing.

Can we interview in Tamil by voice too?

Written Tamil is live today; spoken Tamil isn't yet. Kaairo's AI voice interviews currently run in English and Hindi, with voice support for the other Indian languages on the roadmap.

What does it take to set up a Tamil assessment?

One toggle more than an English one. Author in English as usual, enable Tamil on the assessment, and the AI translation produces both Tamil renditions and the Tamil interface. No vendor briefs, no glossaries, no bilingual proofreading.

None of our recruiters read Tamil. How do we review?

In English, end to end. Every score, per-competency rationale and report comes back in English regardless of what the candidate wrote in — reviewing a Tamil attempt looks identical to reviewing an English one.

Is Tamil the only Indian language Kaairo covers?

No — it's one of eight, alongside Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali. The full list, and how each one works, lives on our multilingual assessments page.

Which roles in Tamil Nadu is this built for?

Anywhere the working day runs in Tamil: store crews in Coimbatore, field sales out of Madurai, NBFC and BFSI counters, support desks, manufacturing supervisors. If the customer conversation is in Tamil, an English-only test is measuring the wrong skill.
